McFarloween Haunted House Cancer Benefit Event
Rise Up Martial Arts sponsored McFarland Matters’ McFarloween, a Halloween haunted house event to benefit Kaitlin Jacobsen and Officer Nate Jacobsen with expenses related to a recent cancer diagnosis.
Over the course of several days leading up to the event, volunteers turned Rise Up Martial Arts’ three rooms into an undulating maze of terror and suspense; it was a really intense construction project, and it ended up being really scary!
The event was a huge success, with an event for kids on Friday, and an all ages event on Saturday night. Even though the haunted house was on the same night as Madison’s Freak Fest, and a UW Badgers football home game, we had a great turnout, and raised a lot of money! We even had some haunted house enthusiasts show up and give Alicia Blanchar (our Yoga Instructor) a video review below! We are so glad to be able to contribute to our community in such diverse and fun ways!
